Our McCrae landscape construction project was inspired by the natural beauty of the Mornington Peninsula, with a strong focus on creating a garden that felt connected to its coastal surroundings. Drawing upon the region’s unique character, the landscape was designed using native plant species endemic to the Mornington Peninsula, creating a garden that is both environmentally responsive and visually striking throughout the seasons.

Natural materials played a central role in the project, with carefully selected stone and timber elements used to complement the surrounding environment and provide a sense of permanence within the landscape. These materials were chosen not only for their durability but also for their ability to age gracefully and blend seamlessly with the native planting palette.

Layered planting, textural contrasts, and organic forms were used throughout the garden to create a relaxed and immersive experience. The result is a timeless coastal landscape that celebrates the unique character of the region while providing a functional and beautiful outdoor environment that sits naturally within its surroundings.
