Landscape Design Questions

I already have a landscape design, can you just complete the construction?

The short answer is Yes.

We think of design and construction as separate services.

Therefore, if we've designed your garden, you're under no obligation to go with us for construction. Alternatively, if you've already have a design, we're more than happy to just do the construction for you.

Please note if you provide us with your own design, it does need to have been completed by a professional and to a certain standard.

Swimming Pool Questions

Do you design swimming pools as part of the landscape?

Yes. Swimming pools are often a central feature within our landscape designs. We approach pool design as part of the overall outdoor environment to ensure it integrates seamlessly with the home, architecture, and surrounding garden.

Landscape Construction Questions

Do I need a building permit to construct my garden?

It's worth noting that building permits are all about showing how something will be built and showing that you are constructing it properly. It's not about obtaining permission from the council to build something. That's a planning permit, which is different and a completey different department of council.

Building permits are required for any element in the garden considered to be domestic building work or structural. Decks of any size always require a permit. Other elements requiring permits include pergolas over 10 square meters, retaining walls over one meter high, and front fences over 1.5 meters high. Permits are a complicated area, and there are many exceptions to the rules, so please only consider what I've said as a rough guide.
